Into the Dark

This is the second painting of the environment "Trapped on Exodus Space Station" from my Allied Enemies story.
Randy Rodrigues was reactivating systems to aid in his escape from the station when he rides by the wreckage of PIERCING HEART, the ship that the antagonist Mallory Kramer was born and raised on. It is of no coincidence either that the station went silent around the time Kramer rises to power.
Again, I used mostly orange and brown and give the scene high contrast to make it spooky. See the first in this series here: [link]

Story:
Exodus is a deep space station that experimented with Yajsaadian A.I. development and eventually created their own Angelic Intelligence from the mind of the project leader's daughter Mallory Kramer. It is rumored that Kramer later fused with the A.I. and inflicted catastrophic torture to the inhabitance of Exodus.

In the storyline, Director Birge investigates the origins of Mallory Kramer in hopes to prove his theory that she still exists and is aiding the people's SUNSHINE (Janey Warren). He believes that Kramer became corrupted with the A.I.'s desires to make a "Perfect World" and is now attempting to corrupt SUNSHINE into doing the same thing on a larger scale. His squad of EU Special Forces team up with Randy Rodrigues to take down the ghost of the original A.I. that corrupted Kramer many years before. The A.I. however has mastered her gift of illusion and forces her opponents into various horror filled scenarios. Randy breaks through the mental warfare and barley escapes the station.
